We can't get enough of these lovely candles in colored pressed hobnail glass. The 16oz candles burn beautifully and once the candle is melted, the glass can be reused as a vase. A simple blend of 100% vegetable wax and fragrance oils allows these nature-inspired scents to carry throughout your space. The wax blend is made from renewable sources, grown by American farmers, and hand poured here in the USA. Made with a cotton wick, they burn approximately 80 hours.
The candles are available in a variety of scents, including this one in Coral. Decidedly cheerful, this particular concoction has top notes of sunny citrus, a body of rich ruby pomegranate, and is mellowed by sweet musk and vetiver.
It took a while to get here, but Spring has finally arrived around Washington. And not a moment too soon because without a doubt, this is my favorite time of year -- It’s the first chance to swing open the windows and air out our apartments and homes after a long winter. If you’re like me, by March you had burned through all of your spicy, piney-scented winter candles and have been ready for your home to be filled with the fresh, clean scents of Spring like florals and citrus fruits.
If you're looking for a great scent this Spring, my absolute favorite pick is Nest Fragrance’s Grapefruit scent. I recommend it to everyone and it has quickly become our best-selling fragrance. Available here at Le Village Marche in an 8.1oz or 2.5oz candle as well as a 6oz diffuser (which will last up to a year), the pink pomelo grapefruit scent is beautifully blended with lily of the valley and coriander blossom for the most wonderfully refreshing citrus aroma. The scent is spot-on. And the great thing about NEST candles is that are made from soy wax, so they burn cleaner, slower, and more evenly than other wax blends. Light one of these candles and within just a few moments, your home will exude an incredibly clean and invigorating scent that will have your neighbors wondering if you just planted a citrus tree in your backyard. I promise you're going to love it!
Every day should be like Saturday...
Don’t you agree? That’s the motto of one of our favorite companies that we work with, Seattle-based Emilie Sloan. Just in time for Spring are the vibrantly-colored tote bags, wallets, and travel accessories that Emilie Sloan is famous for. Made using cotton-laminated rainproof fabrics with a matte finish, the accessories are stylish, practical, and durable - not to mention, very easy to clean.
Some of the most popular pieces of the collection are back in stock at Le Village Marche, including two large everyday tote sizes (perfect for work or even as a diaper bag), the oversized weekender bag, the stylish crossbody purse, as well as a variety small accessories, such as cosmetic bags, wristlets and coin purses. The best-selling accessory has been the convenient “Mia Ringlet”, a wristlet that features a zipped compartment for your cell phone, ID, credit cards, cash and even lip gloss. It’s perfect for when you’re out running errands and don’t want to be weighed down by a purse. They are here for a limited time, so swing by and see us soon.
Fresh from the South of France, we are truly in love with the line of kitchen towels (often referred to as tea towels) that we just received from Jean Vier. Needless to say, the vibrant colors and patterns bring a welcome brightness to our store during this last bit of winter.
For more than 30 years, Jean Vier has made traditional Basque interior decorations using the same durable fabrics that the peasants of the Basque region favored long ago to outfit themselves and their homes. Made of 100% cotton jacquard, these oversized tea towels (32×23) are beautifully and delicately woven. One of the things I personally like most about them is that they can be machine-washed and dry wonderfully with no need for ironing.Customers often ask me for advice on hostess gifts and French tea towels are usually one of the first items I suggest – they are unique and usually quite vibrant. They make the perfect gift on their own, but can also be creatively used to wrap a bottle of wine or fresh loaf of bread. We promise your host will adore the bright new addition to their home
in grade school, Valentine’s Day was one of my favorite days of the school year.
Yes, the tiny heart-shaped candies and chocolates were a welcome treat, but
opening all of the adorable valentines from my classmates made the day truly
Recreate that little thrill for your friends, family and co-workers this year by sending your own valentines. We have a great collection of boxed sets, glittered vintage postcard sets, and individual cards in stock. Whether you’re reminding your girlfriends how much you appreciate their friendship or using the opportunity to give some extra love to your sweetie, you’ll make their day with a thoughtful card that expresses just how you feel.
And because the details count, resist the urge to use up the last of your holiday card stamps and instead go for the new “Sealed With Love” Forever stamp. It will make your valentine stand out even more amongst the usual mailbox clutter!
